“The One Who Removes All Obstacles”

Lord Hanuman is lovingly known as Sankat Mochan, meaning the remover of troubles. This name finds its roots in the countless stories where Hanuman Ji came to the rescue of devotees in times of great difficulty.

The term was popularized in Goswami Tulsidas’s Hanuman Chalisa, where he wrote:“संकट से हनुमान छुड़ावै, मन क्रम वचन ध्यान जो लावै।”(Whoever meditates on Hanuman in thought, word, and deed is freed from distress.)

Hanuman Ji is called Sankat Mochan because:

  • Protector of Devotees: He guards his bhaktas against dangers, both seen and unseen.

  • Symbol of Fearlessness: His life story reminds us that courage can overcome even the greatest difficulties.

  • Spiritual Guide: Through devotion, Hanuman clears mental confusions and guides seekers towards dharma.

For centuries, reciting Sundarkand and Hanuman Chalisa has been a source of strength for those facing crises. Belief in Hanuman Ji isn’t just faith; it’s the assurance that no trouble is too big when His name is remembered.
