Sundarkand — A Chapter of Courage, Faith & Divine Devotion

Sundarkand is one of the most revered sections of the Ramcharitmanas, composed in the 16th century by the great saint and poet Goswami Tulsidas. The word Sundar means beautiful, and Kand means chapter. True to its name, Sundarkand is considered the most beautiful part of the Ramcharitmanas, as it narrates the heroic deeds, unshakable faith, and unmatched devotion of Lord Hanuman.

This sacred chapter describes Hanuman Ji’s journey to Lanka in search of Mother Sita, his encounter with Ravana’s forces, his burning of Lanka, and his unwavering loyalty to Lord Rama.

The Significance of Sundarkand

  • Source of Strength & Courage: Reciting Sundarkand is believed to remove obstacles and instill inner strength.

  • Blessings of Protection: Hanuman Ji, also called Sankat Mochan (the remover of troubles), blesses devotees with peace and safety.

  • Spiritual Growth: The verses inspire selfless service, humility, and surrender to the Divine.

  • Healing Power of Faith: It is said that listening to Sundarkand daily purifies the mind and brings divine grace into one’s life.

About journey

My spiritual path blossomed long before I could name it. Raised in a family where devotion was woven into daily life, I was naturally drawn to the rhythmic resonance of Vedic chants and the timeless stories of Lord Hanuman. Over the years, dedicated study and regular practice deepened my connection with Sundar Kaand—not merely as scripture, but as a living, breathing experience of divine grace.

This digital sanctuary was created to extend that experience to seekers everywhere, offering authentic devotional resources that carry the power of Sundar Kaand and Hanuman Bhakti into homes, temples, and community gatherings—always rooted in integrity, tradition, and the spirit of service.

that place becomes as holy
as a pilgrimage site.)
